History

The Castle stands in Piacenza’s area, on the borderline with Parma and Cremona provinces. This structure, built on a more ancient one, has been started in 1460 by Bartolomeo Barattieri, jurist and Ambassador at pope  papa Giulio II’s court. It can be entirely visited and has more than 30 furnished rooms, two honour salons, kitchens and prisons.
